Paint out Calendar for April 2026

 Welcome to Spring in Portland. The fruit trees, azaleas, camellias, and rhododendrons are starting to bloom.The dragon boats have returned to their place along the Riverplace Marina Dock, and the Thompson Elk fountain is returning to SW Main St. Join us plein air painting this month. Also, in May, 2026 is the Watermedia show at the Oregon Art Center, OAC, (formerly the Oregon Society of Artists) and in August 2026 there will be the Plein Air/ Alla Prima show at the OAC.Here is the April paint-out calendar:

Monday, April 6: Paint Dragon Boats from the Riverplace Marina Public Dock, 1500 S Harbor Way, from 1pm to 3pm. Street parking and public garage parking along S. Harbor Way. Walk onto the floating public dock and paint right next to dragon boats.

Tuesday, April 14:Welcome back the Thompson Elk Fountain by painting the Elk en pleinair , SW Main and SW 4th Ave, from 1pm to 3pm. Street parking.

Tuesday, April 21:Paint Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden, 5801 SE 28th Ave. from 10am to noon. The parking lot opens at 10am, so to get front door parking we need to arrive a few minutes before 10am. $5 entry fee. Restrooms  available.

Tuesday, April 28:Paint the Firehouse Restaurant, 711 NE Dekum St, from 10am to noon. Street parking and no restrooms.

Paint-outs schedule for November 2025

  Portland Painters, It looks like a wet November this year. So, I have only scheduled two paint-outs this month. If it is raining straight down, I suggest we stay home.  Tuesday, November 4: Paint fall colors from Overlook Trail in Hoyt Arboretum from 1pm to 3:30 pm. Meet in the parking lot at 1pm and walk to Overlook Trail. Restrooms and paid parking available. June is here and the roses are starting to bloom so it is our job to get out there and paint them. Here is our paint-out calendar for the first through the 15th of June, 2023. Tnack for lunch. Friday, June 2: Paint Peninsula park rose garden, N.. Ainsworth and N. Albina, from 10am to 12:30pm. Tuesday, June 6: Paint the Iris and other views from South Waterfront Park, 2001 S River Dr, Portland, OR 97201. Street parking and garage parking nearby. Friday, June 9: Paint the Fleet Week Ships from the East Bank Trail near the Morrison Bridge from 10am to 12:30pm. Saturday, June 10: Paint the dragon boat races from the west bank trail near the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, OMSI, from 10am to 12:30pm.
