September Paint-out Calendar - Crows around Portland

Plein air painters,
The Laika Crows have arrived in Portland and will be here through October. Perfect for plein air painting on the streets of Portland. Here are four Crows that I have selected to paint this month. Join me if you can. If you cannot, select your own crows to paint this month and send me images of your Crow Paintings.

Thursday, September 3rd: Paint the Laika Crow named "Ravel" by Reshidev RK at NW Evert and NW 13th from 10am to noon. 2 Hour parking for  Whole Foods customers on NW 12th and Couch. 
Thursday, September 10th: Paint the Crow named "Bloom" by Victoria Smith at the East entrance of the Portland Art Museum, PAM, from 10am to noon. The Lincoln Memorial Statue is scheduled to return to the South Park Blocks September 9th. We will check it out while we are there. Restrooms and coffee are available in the PAM (you don't have to be a member). And 5 hour parking along SW 10th near Safeway.
Thursday, September 17th: Paint "Feathers and Flowers" Crow  by Sam Warford on PSU campus near Simon Benson House from 10am to noon. Fall classes have not started yet, so lots of parking in the area.
Thursday, September 24th: Paint "Midnight Crow" by Amanda Burns in Couch Park, 551 NW 19th Ave, from 10am to noon. Street parking in the area. Portland Loo in the park and Trader Joe's 2 blocks west on NW Glisan.

  Portland Painters, It looks like a wet November this year. So, I have only scheduled two paint-outs this month. If it is raining straight down, I suggest we stay home.  Tuesday, November 4: Paint fall colors from Overlook Trail in Hoyt Arboretum from 1pm to 3:30 pm. Paint out Calendar for April 2026

  Welcome to Spring in Portland. The fruit trees, azaleas, camellias, and rhododendrons are starting to bloom.The dragon boats have returned to their place along the Riverplace Marina Dock, and the Thompson Elk fountain is returning to SW Main St. Join us plein air painting this month. Also, in May, 2026 is the Watermedia show at the Oregon Art Center, OAC, (formerly the Oregon Society of Artists) and in August 2026 there will be the Plein Air/ Alla Prima show at the OAC.Here is the April paint-out calendar: Monday, April 6:  Paint Dragon Boats from the Riverplace Marina Public Dock, 1500 S Harbor Way, from 1pm to 3pm. Street parking and public garage parking along S. Harbor Way. Walk onto the floating public dock and paint right next to dragon boats.
