Plein Air PDX

  We will not be painting this week due to the very wet weather. I have canceled both tomorrow's, Sept. 26, paint-out at Pittock mansion and Thursday's , Sept 28, paint-out at the Waterfront Pearl. I will reschedule these locations in the future. The following week there is only one paint-out scheduled: Thursday, October 5, at Cathedral Park. This is an Oregon Society of Artists class by Brooke Boucherding, the Juror for the OSA Plein Air / Alla Prima show. You don't have to enter the show to attend the class, but you do have to register with OSA and pay $35 (for members) or $45 (for nonmembers). This is a 10am to 3pm class (bring a snack for the lunch break).   Correction to the Prospectus for the Plein Air and Alla Prima OSA show for October 2023. Several artists caught this mistake. Thanks for letting me know. The original  prospectus said "Oil paints only", this is incorrect. All media paintings are accepted in the juried show. Watercolor, ink, acrylic, oil, pastel, etc. will all be accepted. No photography or digital images. This is a juried show, so there will be cash prizes. OSA returns all $$ left after paying our juror to the winning artists. I have also added a Wednesday Farmer's Market paint-out to our September Calendar so you can paint a Wednesday Market scene for the OSA Show.
